Entertaining but also provide opportunity for kids to learn some new things about brave fire-fight profession

‘I'm Brave!’ is the newest addition in children book collection made by writer Kate McMullan and illustrator Jim McMullan.After theme of their books for children were different heavy equipment trucks, fast vehicles and big creatures, the subject and the leading character of latest one is one brave fire truck.“He’s a big red engine with a siren, a horn, a tank full of water, and a whole lotta hose! He’s a good-lookin’ fire truck, and he’s brave, too. When the alarms sounds eeeeeeeoooooooooooo he’s gotta drive through smoke and heat straight to a blazing fire! Honk! Honk!”Using this and similar parts of the story young children will have the opportunity to become familiar with the brave vehicle (and equally brave firemen) who saves people, houses and stuff, while with the introduction of charming vehicle as the main character authors managed to intrigue young readers for their educating story.The illustrations are adapted for smaller children therefore there are not so many details to be found on them, but still on every page besides having opportunity to learn new and interesting words, children will also be introduced to some part of the fire-fighting vehicle or equipment used by firefighters.All of the above are reasons why ‘I'm Brave!’ is book that can be recommended for children age 4 to 6 who while browsing through Kate and Jim McMullan book will be entertained but also will have opportunity to learn some new things about brave fire-fight profession.

What a fun title to read for Fire Prevention Safety Week! This is a firetruck with personality, that's for certain. Lots of descriptions too. Interactive text and pages will keep readers entertained and sure to come back for more. Lots of things I wouldn't even know! but it will be sure fun to learn. This is an energetic story that explains a lot. With colorful words and excited fonts that share about a very brave truck.I'm Brave! is the first collaboration I've experienced from Kate and Jim McMullan, but it was delightful and I'd love to get my hands on their others.I received this product free for the purpose of reviewing it. My two-year-old loves the book

I purchased this book for my daughter and she loves it. It teaches her so much about her grandfather's calling. The McMullan's have done a fantastic job and the mention of my father, NY Firefighter Jim Wind, makes it all the more special. Thank you.
