Mike Boldt's bright and playful picture book asks a big question: Which is more important, numbers or letters? Numbers and letters, the colorful characters in this story, compete to be the stars of this book. Their debate escalates when funny animals and props arrive—starting with 1 alligator, 2 bears, and 3 cars. Who is this book really about? In the end, the answer is clear. This fresh and funny picture book plays with both numbers and letters in the most imaginative way.

Numbers, Letters and Colors!
By Margaret C.
This is definitely a book for animated out loud reading. It's fun and will be even more fun if your child can read one part and you the other. Letters A-Z and numbers 1-26 and maybe a re-read with colors! Oh the learning possibilities. Thanks to HC.

Great for a preschooler learning to count and the alphabet!
By Richard Schaffer
Great for a preschooler learning to count and the alphabet! Lots of things to count and simple phonics, first letter sounds. Enough visual variety to hold the kids interest without becoming a distraction.

Mike Boldt nailed unique and made 123 AND ABC stars of this funny and entertaining book
By Penny Parker Klostermann
Let’s face it, number and letter books have been done over and over again and there are a lot of choices out there. So in order to rank among my favorites, they have to be unique. Mike Boldt nailed unique and made 123 AND ABC stars of this funny and entertaining book. His illustrations are colorful and lively. The expressions on the faces of the numbers and letters add such personality. I love the way he used blue to denote number-related text and orange to denote letter-related text. So clever! Bottom line…I double-love this book and I think you will, too!
