This is a great book for young kids and the parents that dress them. The story if fun and straightforward, good stuff for the kids. I have had this struggle, and it is the bad time you want to remember when they are too old for you any more. This is a nice story that can be part of your family memory. You know the author has had this battle for real, and what a lucky person. Thank you Dan Stiles and family.

As a person who fights the shoe battle at least once a day, I'm not sure if this book will make the battle better or worse, but it certainly entertains w/ Dan's vivid illustrations and wry wit. Buy this book if only to shine a light on the childhood epidemic of willful shoelessness... do it for the kids.

I've always loved Dan's art, and have a one of his concert posters framed in the TV room. He takes his style into the book world, and the results are pretty awesome. As someone who fights wearing shoes at all times, I really appreciate the the ongoing battle as told in Put on Your Shoes! This is a fun read for parents and kids alike!
