By Sara
I adore this charming bedtime story from Mem Fox and Emma Quay. Simple text ("I could eat your little ears. I could nibble on your nose.") create a soothing rhythm, while the soft color palette and sweet illustrations exude warmth and comfort. Recommended.

By Bob Walch
Muted colors done with crayons or pastels make this low keyed bedtime book a little too low keyed for me. The very simple text and hazy illustrations may be intended to help get you toddler in the mood for sleep but they didn't work in our household. Our granddaughter was not taken by what she saw and didn't want to return to the book after its first reading. In this instance cute didn't do the trick!Book provided by publisher.

By Shirley H. Showalter
I bought this book after hearing author Mem Fox read it at Book Expo America this year. She had the audience in stitches and in tears as she told the backstory for the book. Her only daughter's child was born prematurely. The inspiration for the story came from a bedtime they had together, with her daughter singing the song her mother sang to her. The beautiful illustrations will make this lullaby, so rhythmic and soothing, a favorite.
