A fun book with bright & cheerful pictures--parents will love it too.

"We play hide-and-seek. While Harry goes to hide, we promise not to peek." Saw this at the bookstore and couldn't resist. The illustrations are playful and the rhymes in large text are ideal to nurture word recognition. The book is also well-made and easy for a toddler to handle. Perfect to tuck into the beach bag to share with the little ones when they tire out and need a break.

How do you hide a hippo...especially at the beach?

Here's another funny adventure for this cute hippo who loves to play hide and seek. This time Harry the hippo is at the beach so there won't be too many places where he can hide his bulky body but that won't stop him from trying. Yes, this is a silly book but that's why young children love Harry. Even though he tries everyone can see him no matter where he hides.Toddlers aren't literary critics. They respond to the illustrations and colors of the book. This board book works with one and two year olds because it is funny and Harry is adorable. We have both of Harry's hide and seek books set aside to give to our granddaughter when she's a year old...she'll love them!

Wow! I had no idea how much loved this little book would be. My 19 month old granddaughter absolutely loves looking for and pointing out all the little objects in each picture, that are repeated on subsequent pages - things such as crabs, birds, beach balls, hats, pails, umbrellas, etc. She hasn't tired of this story, even after what must be 100 readings so far!A great book for increasing vocabulary and recognition of words and objects.
