I bought this for my 6 year old daughter for Christmas. She LOVES it. It took her 5 days to sit down with it, but now that she has, she has worked on it, independently, for over 2 hours, non-stop. I guess the down side, for some might be that she's nearly finished with it in those two hours. But really, what is that, $4.50 or so per hour of non-media entertainment, of her thinking and writing and drawing, completely worth it, every penny! Anything that can keep my wiggly, energetic girl engaged for that long, is 5 stars in my book.

I am so happy that they came up with this idea. It's so cute. The girls get a chance to fill in the blanks with that they want to put in there. They can be creative with it as well. I got this for my 9 year old daughter and glad that she fills some of her time with this book. Can't wait for more releases from this author.

We have enjoyed reading the Ivy and Bean books aloud as a family - so this was a natural choice for a Christmas present for my 7 year old. She loves this journal style book and has started completing it already.
