Poor Lenore! None of the other animals at Bedlam Farm welcome her. Even Rose the border collie is too busy to play. But Lenore refuses to give up, and when she licks a grumpy ram named Brutus-right on the nose!-an unexpected friendship begins.

By Peg D
I heard about this book on a book review show, and ordered it to give to the grand kids for Christmas. I am very picky about only giving them quality books, and I am not disappointed at all in this one. Jon Katz is a talented and prolific author of dog stories. It is a sweet story with excellent photos; I don't know why the cover is an illustration. I would recommend this highly for children 3-6.

I always give a "first" book to all of my pregnant friends. This one I gave to a woman who works at my veterinary clinic and she loved it as much as I did. I'm sure her little girl or boy will treasure it and never tire of looking at the beautiful photos and reading the simple but poignant text.I would recommend this book as a gift to both children and adults who love and cherish animals and our collective differences.
