Good road trip magazine for kids

I bought a few copies because my gerbil is featured on page 17. I've brought this magazine to the beach, picnics, pet expos, and family events to show him off. I've found that kids will take this magazine and go off in a corner to read for a long time. The pictures are engaging and the stories are easy to read and yes, pretty amazing. There are stories about animals that do tricks, play sports, that are heros, that have beaten the odds or are just amazingly cute - like the animals that are dressed up or those dogs that are dyed and cut so that they look like a completely different species. In addition to dogs there and many other animals featured. Part of the amazingness of the stories are how they've bonded with people or sometimes other species and how smart even the tiniest of companion pets are. Good for a road trip, doctor's office, or any place else you need your kids to be engaged for a long chunk of time.

My 8-year old daughter loves the "Amazing Pets" series. Our entire family found the stories fascinating. We also bought this book for our 9-year old nephew who is a reluctant reader. The stories are short and the graphics are great! Just perfect in length and content for a reluctant reader. For any child that loves animals, this is a must have!
