This entertaining and humorous chapter book features animals who can perform amazing acts like riding motocross, foretelling the weather, and playing a guitar. These stories will enchant readers and empower them to devour the more text-heavy "grown up" style of the book, while still keeping the story easily digestible for a hesitant reader.

By Hope Irvin Marston
Children and adults who enjoyed this author's first book, APE ESCAPES, will find ANIMAL SUPERSTARS to be just as much fun. The captivating, often full-page, color photos will keep kids turning pages to enjoy the unusual activities of these amazing animals. The cover image of Opee dressed for another bike ride is a showstopper. The frequent appearances of brief boxed -in "Did You Know?" sections provide intriguing bits of information about the animals featured in the book.Aline Newman's books make up half of National Geographic's Kids Chapters series. Here's hoping she'll soon be sharing more incredible true stories about unusual animals and the people who love and respect them. The books are just the right size and length for young readers to enjoy all by themselves and they'll love sharing the stories with their peers.

I bought this for my kindle app while we were on vacation. I have no complaints about any of it. My daughter (6 yo) loves these kinds of books. The pictures/graphics are bright and colorful and the stories are fun. But I think for her, she prefers to have the actual book over the e-book. I think it's easier for her to pour over the photos in a real book.
