An instant classic!

My grandkids and I don’t always agree on what makes a book great, but we all love One Big Pair of Underwear. The hilarious rhyming text is fun to read aloud, and even our youngest "reader" could enjoy the wonderfully wacky animal illustrations. Personally, I thought they were brilliant. And for those serious types who insist on something more from a book than pure delight, there is even a bit of math and an upbeat sharing message.This is definitely NOT one of those kids' books that parents and grandparents try to hide lest the little ones insist on hearing it again...and again...and again. I'm confident that our whole family will enjoy rereading One Big Pair of Underwear for years to come. And I expect it will make us all smile every single time.

Let's face it: underwear is hilarious at any age. I was immediately charmed by the title and the illustrations, and loved reading it to my little kiddo. The silly rhymes move at a great pace, making it perfect for reading aloud (and adding your own funny voices to). The bright illustrations along with the cheerful cadence of the words will capture the attention of younger listeners, and older kids will love the crazy animals, funny rhymes, and, of course, the giant underpants. It's a fantastic book with just the right touch of learning--some math and a great message about sharing--that can be enjoyed by young'uns (and old'uns!) of any age. I highly recommend it! In fact, it's bedtime at this house...I'm going to go read my little one a funny story about "one big pair of underwear"!

My 4-year-old twin boys are really loving this book! It's a great one to read again and again because it definitely takes a few pages for the kids to realize the trend of one animal getting left out on each page. Once my kids figured out what was happening, I saw them counting and doing the math, and they were squealing and giggling when the animals were sharing at the end in the funniest of ways. Such a great addition to our library, and I recommended it for our children's school. What's better than a fun and silly story with a focus on math and sharing concepts!
