Snow White is on the run from an evil witch when she comes across some dwarfs in the forest. They agree to take her in and keep her safe if she will help them with their chores. She soon realizes she's taking on a lot more than she bargained for. 77 breakfasts to make, 77 lunches to pack (don't forget the juice boxes!), 77 pairs of pants to mend and a whole lot of dishes. Eventually Snow White decides to take her chances with the witch. There's a surprise ending... well, it may not be so surprising. This is a hilarious retelling of the classic tale, with bright, energetic illustrations featuring busy dwarfs, and the even busier Snow White.

By Valerie A. Baute
Just like in the original story, Snow White is escaping an evil witch. She finds dwarfs. She helps them out. She eats an apple. Unlike the original story, there are 77 dwarfs. Also, she runs away. There is a twist to the ending as well.I like this story. It is kind of cute. Snow White gets fed up with all of the work she is expected to do, which makes sense when she has to help out 77 little working men. The twist at the end is pretty funny. I could see myself reading the story itself in my story time, if it weren't for the illustrations. They aren't really very attractive, especially for a story time setting. They aren't hideous, but they are just not as cute as they could have been. I don't know if I will try this one or not.Free ARC provided by the publisher through NetGalley

By Bill Baker
OK, we KNOW the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – maybe we heard it as kids read to us and saw the classic Disney – but here’s a twist on the tale!Ever think what poor Snow White went through caring for these seven crazy little guys? What is instead of just seven…there were SEVENTY-SEVEN??That’s what this short picture book’s all about; finally a tale from Snow White’s point of view…who would want to go through this??This is one great alternative to a classic tale – and why not? I bet it could cause a little discussion – one that would be worthwhile!

By David's Wife
Bright and colorful, cute and silly. Snow White leaves her wicked stepmother the queen and goes to live with 77 dwarves for whom she cooks and cleans. Perhaps she is better off with the witch. I received this book free to review from Netgalley.
