As an elementary school teacher, my students have usually put working dogs into two categories: guide dogs for the blind and police dogs. In Tuesday Tucks Me In, Tuesday introduces himself as a different kind of service dog. Children can make connections with Tuesday's routines that are similar to other dogs', and they can expand their understanding as Tuesday describes his responsibilities as a service dog for Luis, a veteran with disabilities. This story is a wonderful bridge to conversations about "invisible" disabilities, the sacrifices of our veterans, and the mutual devotion between humans and dogs. Additionally, Luis and Tuesday's story helps us talk to children about the reality of stress and anxiety. Sadly, even young children have stress and anxiety, and many of them do not yet know how to put those thoughts and feelings into words. This book gives us a great way to have a dialogue about those feelings and the importance of asking for and accepting help.I enjoyed Capt. Montalvan's bestseller Until Tuesday, and now it's great to hear Tuesday's side of the story! The story and illustrations are so precious - there's no way you won't love this book!

By Angel
"Tuesday Tucks Me In" is creative and artistic...gently sharing with the reader valuable information, not only about the benefit of service dogs for all types of disabilities, but also about acceptance and love.Luis has brilliantly blended education and whimsy through the narrative voice and beautiful images of his extraordinary best friend and service dog - "Tuesday.""Tuesday Tucks Me In" is an exceptional balance of soft golden retriever warm fuzzy, tug at that spot in your heart that makes you say "AW" right out loud and practical, necessary, delicately delivered facts that carefully awaken awareness.I cannot end this review without commenting on the images of Luis and Tuesday, living their lives, and sharing their story. Using photographs, rather than illustrations allows the reader...of any age, to connect with Luis and Tuesday, creating a reading experience that is honest and intimate.Children will especially benefit from the visuals, because the images of this real soldier and his real service dog make this book more than just a story...

By R. Hope McCloud
I just read this wonderful book today and it is a great story about a service dog and his veteran. Tuesday, his service dog that helps him is a wonderful story for children to read about service dogs and how they help people with disabilities, especially our wounded veterans coming home from war. So if you want to honor any of our coming home veterans and so many other people with disabilities and people who have children then this the perfect book to buy for them to cherish forever. The pictures in the book are an amazing part of the story and they touched my soul as I looked into the eyes of Tuesday and Luis. Both of them have imprinted my heart with warmth and admiration for sharing their story with me and so many others.
