Dragon Quest is about a boy who is reading a book, also called "Dragon Quest," when he gets invited to join an actual dragon quest to find the last dragon. This journey takes him through the desert, the forest, and the mountain.Kids will enjoy it because they would enjoy the irony in the funny ending. At the end of this colorful picture book, the main characters think that they were unsuccessful in their search for the dragon, but the joke is on them! I will let the other kids read the book to learn more.My favorite part was ending! It was a real surprise. The book is very special because the boy in the book "Dragon Quest" is also reading a book with the same title, "Dragon Quest" so it makes me wonder if a person would come up to me while I was reading "Dragon Quest" to invite me on a dragon quest, or if another person is reading about me as I am reading the book about a boy reading the book. The ending also shares an inside joke with the reader, further adding to this experience.I give this book 5 stars! I really enjoyed it and have re-read it several times.Review by Isaac V., age 6, Mensa Hawaii

In DRAGONQUEST, a young boy who is reading a book is chosen by a dragon slayer to join him on an adventurer to slay the last dragon. Although the boy is excited for an adventure, he doesn't want to kill the last dragon. There is a twist at the end of the book. The things that stand out the most in DRAGONQUEST are the illustrations and the twist at the end. The illustrations are gorgeous. The book is a very short book and doesn't take long to read.
