Dogs Are So Much Funnier... Underwater!

Underwater dogs! My kids and I love Seth Casteel's photos. Put dogs in water and they just look ridiculous... and so cute.We gravitated, of course, to the Jack Russells, since we have Jackie mix. But really, all the dogs are pretty hysterical. I don't know why except for the fact that they seem so ecstatically happy.UNDERWATER DOGS has color from edge to edge and there's a nice mix of close-ups and a shots from a little further back. And one of the things I liked was that the text that accompanies the images rhymes.Life's simple thingsare what dogsenjoy.There's nothingbetter than fetchingyour toy.My older kids --Tween and new Teen-- grabbed this book as soon as it arrived. [Book rec'vd as a review copy in exchange for an honest review.] But I think this could be a very nice book to share with younger children who like dogs. The photos are very kid-friendly, and the rhymes make a nice read-aloud.And the topics are different from the normal ones that come up when I read other books to youngsters. Great Fun and Great Pictures

My son really liked Seth's original book. Now he likes this one even more because of the fun story and information that goes along with it. Now, he keeps telling me what type of dog he wants when we finally get one; a swimming dog.

I discovered this book when substitute teaching. The photos and accompanying story were such a hit with the class I decided to purchase a few copies for our grandchildren. It is an imaginative and entertaining book as a read aloud or for beginning readers. Even adults will get a kick out of the photos!
