This is an amazing book. It is called the FANTASTIC Family Whipple for a reason. This book has action, adventure, excitement, and mystery. I would recommend this to all readers from the 5th grade and up. Only because it is a harder reading level and has difficult words. There are so many twists and a surprise ending that you could never guess. It also " raises the stakes" at great moments that make you want to keep reading. I also liked how Matthew Ward puts in the coolest world records. There are some that you wouldn't think existed. Even adults would like this book. This book is funny and a real page turner. It is definitely geared toward kids. I, personally, could not put this book down. However, I MUST warn you... it is a cliff hanger! I am looking forward to another book, if there is one. I hope everyone likes this book. it is truly 5 star worthy.--This review was written by a 12 year old.

This is the second book in a series. My seven-year-old daughter and I loved reading the first one and this one together. I highly recommend this if you enjoy fun characters, suspenseful adventure, cliff-hanging chapter endings, and quality story-telling. Yes, there are murders and shady characters and kidnappings but they are all tastefully done and add to the overall battle of good and evil that is going on in the lives of the Whipples. Good triumphs in this fantastic story that is artfully made for children and loved by myself and my child.

What a wonderful sequel to Matt Ward's first book, The Fantastic Family Whipple. The book had me grinning over the clever development of the characters and the twists and turns of the story throughout the book! Very, very enjoyable! Gold star Mr. Ward!
