A solid and enjoyable story!

As a fellow astronomy buff I know I have certainly dreamed of traveling to the places I was observing. Pete does a great job of putting the reader in the shoes of big sister Taylor and little brother Zack.I purchased this book and had it autographed even before it became available on Amazon and have recently revisited The Telescope Travelers for my 5 year old daughter. She loves it and carries it around everywhere. She likes when I insert their own names into the story.My kids and I would high recommend this book as well as the second book "The Telescope Travelers Escape the Black Hole" available now!I would just like to make a small correction to one of the earlier made reviews. Pete didn't build a telescope in his backyard. He built an observatory.

First time I bought this book I read it before giving it as a gift, and found it so enjoyable and informative that I bought it for several kids in the 6-11 range. All the kids liked the book and one 7 year old knows it almost by heart. I hope this really is a series -- the kids will be glad to see the next book.
